Gardens of Stanley Park in Vancouver

The flowers in Stanley Park are so very beautiful. Here is a two page layout I did of the gardens. I still have lots of pictures to scrap but here are some of my favorite. These photos are of Rob, Sandy, Heather, Bob and Loretta (Grandad and Grandma) on our trip to Vancouver and Alaska last summer. The flowers were so gorgeous we all went crazy taking pictures of them! I made up this page on my own using the Studio Calico kit "Baker's Dozen" from last month.

Three Generations

This photo is one of my favorites from Vancouver. In the photo are my mom, Loretta, myself, Sandy, and my daughter, Heather. It was taken in the rose gardens at Stanley Park. It was such a lovely spot for a photo. While we were sitting on the steps we could smell the lavendar in the gardens which are in the photo. It smelled wonderful. Lavendar is my favorite scent. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers #94 for this photo. The papers were by Melissa Frances. Thanks for checking out my newest layout.

Wicked Halloween

Heather, Joan, Andy, Ani, Robby and Christine went to a Halloween party this year and these are some photos of them in their costumes. Heather and Joan were both witches. Ani was a devil and Andy was "Phil" from the movie "Kickin 'n Screamin". Robby and Christine were survivors from the television show "Survivor". They all looked great in their costumes. The sketch I used was from Inspired Blueprints.

Tracy Arm, Alaska

These are pictures taken at Tracy Arm, Alaska. We were very lucky because it was foggy in the morning but by the time our ship got into Tracy Arm it had lifted. We were so glad too because it was beautiful. There were icebergs floating in the water, waterfalls and beautiful mountains. The water was a beautiful blue green. The icebergs were my favorite. Some were little and some were big. They had a blue tint to them in the sun but when the sun went behind the clouds they became a vibrant blue. Absolutely beautiful and we took lots of pictures of them. These are photos of Rob, Heather and I on the ship. Our cabin came with blankets and we used them when we were out on our veranda. We were so lucky to have a cabin with such a large veranda. Ours was especially large because my parents cabin was right next to ours and they opened the veranda so we had one large one. We spent a lot of time watching the icebergs on our veranda. The sketch for this layout was from Let's Scrap.

True Colors

These photos were taken at our hotel the River Rock Casino outside of Vancouver. There was a boat dock behind the hotel and these photos were taken there. We loved to go out on the dock in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets. I was so excited because one night we saw a beaver swimming in the water next to the dock. I took a short video of him swimming in the water too. We had a good time. The first layout was done from a sketch from Sketch Inspiration and the second layout I did myself.

Yummy

These are some photos of Roxie, our black lab, trying out the tomato sauce we made. Grandma is feeding her tastes of the sauce and she's enjoying it. Roxie loved cleaning up the spills on "Family Tomato Day".

Family Tomato Day

We had lots of fun this past summer making tomato sauce. Everyone helped and we've been enjoying the sauce all winter. Here's some layouts I did from "Family Tomato Day". I used my Cricut to make the sauce jars, potholders and apron.

Family Tomato Day

This year Rob decided he wanted to make tomato sauce this summer. We made it in the backyard and despite us all complaining beforehand we actually had a very good time. Grandma and Grandad came over to help us. We made two cases of sauce jars. Roxie loved it. She had a blast licking up all the spilled tomatoes. When the sauce was done Grandma walked up to Whole Foods for a loaf of bread and we all dipped it in the fresh sauce. It was delicious. Here are my pages from that day. I had fun using the Cricut to make the sauce jars, apron and pot holders.

A Rainbow of Balloons

This is my last layout of the Balloon Festival. These are photos of Joan, Heather, Rob and I enjoying the balloons. Since it was so early in the morning after the balloons launched, we each had a waffle with ice cream and strawberries ~ they were delicious. Later Rob also had a roasted ear of corn ~ his favorite at festivals! I tried searching online for a poem about ballooning and but couldn't find one so I decided to try writing my own poem. I basically described our day at the festival and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Few More Balloon Festival Layouts

"Balloonatic"
On this first layout I used sketch #98 from "Got Sketch?"
with the Bo Bunny's "Back to Basics" paper line.

"Up, Up & Away"
On this next layout I used the February 15th sketch from "Stuck Sketches?!" and Crate Paper. For the second page I used the same papers but my own ideas.

"Photos from the Balloon Festival"
This last layout is mine and I used Cosmo Cricket "Lil' Man".

Festival of Ballooning

Welcome to my blog and I'm glad you stopped by. These layouts are from photos taken this summer at the Festival of Ballooning in Readington, New Jersey. Rob, Heather, Joan and I all jumped in our Jeep Wrangler at 4:00 am in the morning and drove to the festival. We were the first to get there. We parked in a field and walked through the muddy grounds to the festival. Rob and I had sneakers on so we were okay but Heather and Joan were wearing sandles. Their poor feet were so muddy. When we got to the entrance they used tissues to try and clean up their feet. It was so worth it getting there that early because the balloons were amazing. They were everywhere you looked filling up with air and we walked all around them. We took some fabulous pictures. I've never seen anything like it in my life ~ there were so many balloons. When they were all in the sky it was awesome. I'm having a lot of fun scrapping these photos ~ I have so many!
