True Colors

These photos were taken at our hotel the River Rock Casino outside of Vancouver. There was a boat dock behind the hotel and these photos were taken there. We loved to go out on the dock in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets. I was so excited because one night we saw a beaver swimming in the water next to the dock. I took a short video of him swimming in the water too. We had a good time. The first layout was done from a sketch from Sketch Inspiration and the second layout I did myself.

Festival of Ballooning

Welcome to my blog and I'm glad you stopped by. These layouts are from photos taken this summer at the Festival of Ballooning in Readington, New Jersey. Rob, Heather, Joan and I all jumped in our Jeep Wrangler at 4:00 am in the morning and drove to the festival. We were the first to get there. We parked in a field and walked through the muddy grounds to the festival. Rob and I had sneakers on so we were okay but Heather and Joan were wearing sandles. Their poor feet were so muddy. When we got to the entrance they used tissues to try and clean up their feet. It was so worth it getting there that early because the balloons were amazing. They were everywhere you looked filling up with air and we walked all around them. We took some fabulous pictures. I've never seen anything like it in my life ~ there were so many balloons. When they were all in the sky it was awesome. I'm having a lot of fun scrapping these photos ~ I have so many!

A Beautiful Day

This picture was taken in Key West this past summer. We all walked out onto a very long pier and took some great pictures. The ocean was beautiful. I did this sketch for Sketch Inspirations and used Chatterbox papers and embellishments.

Stanley Park

These photos were taken at Stanley Park in Vancouver. The gardens are the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. While in the park we ate lunch at Prospect Point, saw the totem poles and walked over to this lookout where we saw the lighthouse and bridge that our ship went under on our way to Alaska. When we sailed under the bridge there were people on it who were cheering and wishing us well. The park was my favorite place in Vancouver. I did this layout for Sketch Inspirations.

"Engaged"

Robby & Christine's Engagement Party

This photo is from Robby & Christine's engagement party. I used the Basic Grey new paper line "Origins". I made the branches and leaves with the Sizzix Sizzlits Die called "Branch, Cherry Blossom". The flowers and birds were punched using two of my Stampin Up! punches. The phrase "Capture the Memories" is from Technique Tuesday "Everyday Words by Ali Edwards". I really love this paper line ~ it's so pretty. This layout was done using sketch #106 from Sketch Inspirations. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog!
