License to Chill

Well here it is going to be the first day of fall tomorrow and I'm still scrapping summer pictures. I always seem to be a season or two behind on scrapping pages. These are photos from our summer vacation in Key Largo, Florida. I used the Cosmo Cricket "Snorkel" line of paper and embellishments. It's perfect paper for the summer. I used the Stampin Up! "Just Beachy" stamp set to make the fish and station wagon with the surf board. I stamped, used colored pencils, cut out, inked and pop dotted them before adhering to the page. For the bubbles on the fish I used Cloud Nine "Rain Dots". Thanks for checking out my pages.

Life is Beautiful

Hi - I hope you are having a great day! Christine gave me this beautiful photo of my parents and I just had to scrap it. When this sketch came up on 52 Sketches 52 Weeks, I knew it was perfect for this photo. I had just received my Scarlet Lime kit for September and it had this fantastic "Vintage Ruby" exclusive Scarlet Lime paper in the kit. Since my mom sews just about anything and is a quilter, I knew this paper was perfect. This year my parents are celebrating 52 years of marriage - how exciting. I used Jenni Bowlin chipboard buttons and alpha letters, stickers and ATC trunk card by Vintage Ruby, a Melissa Frances vintage keyhole and miscellaneous ribbons from my stash. Thanks so much for checking out my layout.

Key West

This summer we went to Key West and this photo was taken while at the southernmost point in United States. We were only 90 miles from Cuba. I used the Basic Gray "Lemonade" paper set, chip stickers and element stickers. I also used a K & Co rub on. I did this sketch for Let's Scrap #120. Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day

This year on Father's Day we went to Sil and Lori's for a barbeque. These are photos of our family. I did this layout for Color Combos Galore and used Stampin Up! paper sets "Party Night & Day", "Delicate Dots" and "Raspberry Tart". The stamp I used was the "Medallion" stamp by SU!

Key Largo

This is a Sketch Challenge I did for Jillibean Soup. The Jillibean Soup products I used were "Lentil" paper, "Soup Staples" paper and a green journaling sprout. These are photos of Rob and I while in Key Largo, Florida. We were on a glass bottom boat ride to see the coral reefs. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.

Happy Birthday Andy!

We celebrated Andy's birthday this year with dinner from our favorite restaurant, Naunas. We had salad, baked ziti, chicken parmesan, and Italian bread. We all enjoyed a delicious birthday cake for dessert. For these pages I used a Fancy Pants kit called "About a Boy" by Michelle Coleman. The colors were fun and so were all the embellishments in the kit.

Scrapping Buddies

Hello All! These are some photos from the CKC - Creating Keepsakes Convention in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Heather, Joan, Sara and I went this past July. We did two crops and a lot of great classes. We completed lots of layouts on this trip. I did this LO for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks using the Memories {Note}worthy paper kit. The papers and colors in this kit are beautiful. Thanks for stopping by to check out my scrapbooking pages.

Glass Bottom Boat in Key Largo

These pictures were taken in Key Largo aboard a glass bottom boat we took out to the reef at John Pennecamp State Park. It was a great boat ride and we saw beautiful fish through the glass bottom. I loved taking photos of the birds on the ride out to the reef. I used the Cosmo Cricket "Girl Friday" kit I won one week from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks.

Cayman Island Tropical Flowers

This page was done for Let's Scrap Challenge #14 using LS111. I used the Fancy Pants "Celebrate" paper line from Michelle Coleman. The challenge was to use the color orange and scrap something you love to do. I chose to use these beautiful photos of flowers from the Cayman Islands I took in January 2008 when we were on vacation. Taking photographs of flowers is one of my favorite things to do on vacation.

Scuba Diving in Key Largo

This layout was done for Let's Scrap #117 using Fancy Pants "Daydreams" by Nancie Rowe-Janitz. I chose to use these photos from Key Largo. Rob and Andy were going diving and Heather and I joined them on the boat and we went snorkeling. It was great snorkeling above them while they dived and watching them. The fish were absolutely amazing on the reef and I am so glad we went.

Heather's 24th Birthday

These photos are from my daughter, Heather's, 24th birthday. We celebrated a few days early because we were leaving for Key Largo for vacation. She received this beautiful luggage from us and I'm so glad that she really loved it. I scrapped these pages using Imaginisce paper line "All Kinds of Happy". The page with the star in the background was done for Inspired Blueprints #29 using the same paper.

Hello Everyone!

I've finally gotten back to scrapbooking again after our vacation. In August we went on an Alaskan cruise to the Inner Passage on Holland America and visited Vancouver for a few days too. We had the absolute best time. Alaska is beautiful! We took so many pictures it'll take me a while to go through them all and choose which ones to print out. I've already started working on that. Can't wait to scrap them.

In Vancouver we went to Stanley Park and visited the beautiful gardens, totem poles and Aquarium. We also went to Grouse Mountain and rode to the top on the Sky Ride. We were so high we were in the clouds. While on top we saw grizzly bears, a lumberjack show and a bird of prey show. It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it.

We took great photos of humpback whales, seals, salmon, black bears, eagles, Mendenhall Glacier and a beautiful Alaskan rainbow which we took while on a Photo Safari by Land & Sea in Juneau. While we were in Skagway, we took a helicopter to Mead glacier and got out and walked on it. That was a little scary but amazing. We also went on a Yukon Jeep Adventure from Skagway, Alaska to Carcross, Canada. We visited Tracy Arm and saw beautiful mountains and icebergs. The water was such a beautiful color and so clean and clear. Glacier Bay was amazing and while we were there we saw a black bear walking on the shore and a huge piece of ice calved from the glacier. In Ketchikan we went to Totem Bight Park & City Tour. I just loved how each totem pole told a story.

It was an absolutely wonderful trip and I can't wait to go back again! Alaska is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Just Pear~fect

This is a LO I did for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks #35. I used my Scarlet Lime August kit again for this LO. I just love the color combination of the papers. I used a template to mark the circle and traced it with my black pen and used the buttons in the kit. The photo is one of Robby and Christine pumpkin picking last year.

Splash

"Splash" was done for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks LO #34. I used the Scarlet Lime August kit for this page. The glitter letters are Thickers. These are photos of Roxie swimming in a friend's pool. She went down the slide with Andy and surprised us all by jumping into the water. She immediately swam to the side and tried to climb out. I don't think she liked it and I doubt she'll be jumping in a pool again. Rob and Andy were practicing diving with their new underwater video camera.

Cayman

This is a LO I did for Let's Scrap #119. I used the June kit from Scarlet Lime. I just love these papers. The photos are from the Cayman Islands when Rob and I went in January 2008. Holding the baby turtles was one of my favorite things we did in Cayman. The sunsets were absolutely the best I've ever seen - we enjoyed every one while we were there.
