More Photos from Key West
Our Trip to Key West
Rob and I are in Key West this week for a mini vacation. The weather has been beautiful and it has been great going to a warmer climate and missing the snow storm that is happening at home right now as I type this. We rented scooters for the week and have been driving up and down Duval Street doing the "Duval Crawl" but on our scooters. We love the freedom of riding our scooters and exploring Key West. We've seen the beautiful sunsets, shopped in Mallory Square and on Duval Street, visited the Key West Aquarium, took a 70 mile boat ride to visit the Dry Tortugas National Park, visited Fort Taylor and sat on beach chairs at night and looked out on the ocean and watched the stars. It's been a great vacation. With the big storm hitting the Northeast right now I hope we'll be able to fly home on Sunday! Here are some photos from our trip.

Epcot
I have officially started scrapbooking my Epcot pictures from our trip to Disney in March 2009. I've completed Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom so far. I have the most photos to crop from Epcot and then its just Hollywood Studios left to scrap. I don't have as many pictures for Hollywood Studios. Last night and today I got in some really good scrapping time. I was able to scrap a total of eight pages - yeah! Off to a good start. Here is a double layout I did last night for Let's Scrap. The layout worked with these photos really well. I used our Noel Mignon kit "Eyes of Blue" and lots of embellishments from Jellibean Soup, Jenni Bowlin, Maya Road, Tim Holtz, CTMH, Making Memories and Stampin Up! I was really pleased with how it turned out. Hope you enjoyed seeing it. Have a fantastic day and happy scrapping!

Mallory Square
Heather and I visited Mallory Square in Key West while Rob and Andy went to a dive museum. We went to a cute little gift shop filled with beautiful things and we bought two cute little mermaid magnets for the fridge. We also went to the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Key West. We came all the way from Jersey where Ron Jon has it's original store in Long Beach Island and we go to one in the Keys ~ funny! While at Mallory Square we walked to the pier where every night they have a party and watch the sunset. We were leaving to return to Key Largo that day so we were unable to watch the sunset from the pier. Too bad the night before was overcast and we didn't get to see a Key West sunset ~ disappointing. There are lots of fun places and things to do in Key West and we had a great time!

Ernest Hemingway
We visited Ernest Hemingway's home in Key West. It was a beautiful old home which was surrounded by a brick wall. We were told the bricks used to build the wall came by ship. They would start building the wall until they ran out of bricks and would stop until more bricks came which could be months. It took a long time to build the wall because the property was the length of the block. The bricks were all different sizes. We didn't go into the house but enjoyed seeing it. I used a layout from Inspired Blueprints for this page.
