Good Times

These are some photos from our trip to Disney World in March. Rob and I went to see Cirque du Soleil "La Nouba" in Downtown Disney and it was amazing. We had great seats and both really enjoyed it. Another night we had dinner at 'Ohana's and we were able to see the fireworks over Cinderella's castle while we ate. The food was delicious. We had a "GOOD TIME" at both places.

I did this LO for Let's Scrap #114. I used Jillibean "Cream of Mushroom" papers and journaling sprouts on this LO. The birds are from Maya Road sheer birds and the letters were Thickers "Chit Chat" puffy letter stickers. I also used ribbon and buttons on this page.

Key West

Here are some photos of Andy, Heather and I enjoying ourselves in Key West on the observation deck of our hotel the Crowne Plaza on Duval Street. Our hotel was in the highest building in Key West and was one of the best places to observe the sunset. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the beautiful sunset because it was overcast. We did take these great photos of us though.

Hoop Dee Doo

Hey everybody this was a fun layout to do for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks #29 because I finally broke open my new July kit from Scarlet Lime. The papers were designed by Melody Ross of Chatterbox exclusively for this kit and they were beautiful. It was hard to use them because I just wanted to look at them but I did. I used the buttons from the kit and a few stickers too. I used the Thickers glitter letters for the title. The butterfly was from the SU! "Great Friends" stamp set. I colored the butterfly with a SU! gray marker and then used Crackle Accents on it. I was happy with how it turned out. The photo was taken when Rob and I were in Disney at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue in Fort Wilderness. The show was very funny and we really enjoyed it. The barbeque dinner was delicious - great corn bread! Thanks so much for checking out my blog - have a great day!

The Florida Keys

We recently went to Key Largo, Florida where Rob and Andy went scuba diving. They did quite a few dives on the reef, a ship wreck and also a night dive. Heather and I went snorkeling on the reef while they were diving below us and it was so cool watching them dive while we snorkeled. We celebrated Heather's birthday while in Key Largo with dinner at Jimmy Johnson's "Big Chill". We all celebrated with a delicious Key Lime Coolata frozen drink and Key Lime pie for dessert. It rained during dinner and we had to move inside from our waterside table on the deck but after dinner the rain stopped and we watched the beautiful sunset over the gulf. We also visited Key West and saw the southernmost point in the United States where we were only 90 miles from Cuba. We were closer to Cuba than Miami. It was hot, hot, hot in Key West but the Key Lime pie kept us cool. We all had a great trip and here are some of our memories from it.

Dreams

This are photos from the "Dream Along with Mickey" show in front of Cinderella's Castle in Disney World. I did this two page layout for Inspired Blueprints #26. Thanks so much for checking out my blog!

Summer Berries

Strawberry picking this year was so much fun. This is another page from our trip to Donaldson's Farm in Hackettstown to pick fresh strawberries. Yummy! I used K & Company paper and embellishments called "Berry Sweet". They were just perfect for strawberry picking. These are photos of my kids, Andy and Heather. I did this layout for sketch challenge #7 on Let's Scrap. I had to use a picture of fruit, paper with fruit on it and the word "summer" used in journaling or the title. I was very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Disney Pages

These Disney layouts were done for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. The "Donald" layout was done using Disney papers from my stash, miscellaneous embellishments and the Mickey hands were done using my Cricut machine. For the "Tree of Life" layout I was happy with the way the papers went with the pictures. This was one of the first layouts I did for a page sketch site. I was hooked . . . love those sketches!

Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest was a layout I did for a sketch on Inspired Blueprints. This was taken at Animal Kingdom in Disney. I loved these papers from CTMH.

Disney Pages

These are layouts I did for Let's Scrap. They are all from photos taken at Disney. I just love to scrap Disney photos. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed seeing them.

Celebrate Disney

These are photos from the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Parade in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. This sketch was from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks #28 and it looked perfect for a two page LO so that's what I did.

Hats Off To You

This is a LO I did for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks of our trip to Disney. Rob had a lot of fun trying on the different hats in the Magic Kingdom. I made the Mickey shoes on our Cricut machine. It's always fun to scrapbook anything from a Disney trip!

Rob

This LO was for the Father's Day Challenge #3 on Let's Scrap. We had to scrap a father, use the color blue, use memorabilia, journal something quirky about him and use a sketch from LS. I used the Cosmo Cricket "Snorkel" line of papers and I cut the waves out with the "Life is a Beach" cartridge on the Cricut machine. For the fish I used a Martha Stewart embossed punch. I also used grosgrain ribbon and a ticket from when he scuba dived at Dutch Springs in Pennsylvania. The photo was taken when Rob was practicing diving with his new video camera in a friend's pool getting ready for our diving trip to Key Largo earlier this month. The best part of this page is I won the challenge and received a RAK from the design team member who posted the challenge. I was so excited to win!

Mother's Day

These layouts are for Inspired Blueprints LO #24 that I made into a two page LO. I used the "Lillian" paper line from Crate Paper and embellishments. These are photos we took before going out to dinner at Nauna's on Mother's Day. Andy was on vacation in Punta Cana so he's missing from these photos. It was a very nice Mother's Day.

Last Game at Yankee Stadium

This scrapbook page was done for Challenge #5 for Let's Scrap. We were given a page layout and had to complete the page from start to finish in only one hour. I used photos Andy had taken at the last game at Yankee Stadium. He had taken some great pictures. I also made a copy of his ticket from the game and added it to the page. My favorite photos on the page are of Yogi Berra walking to homeplate, Babe Ruth winking and, of course, Derek Jeter at bat. He had a lot more photos to chose from but these were my favorites.

Take Time to Smell the Flowers

She who has flowers in her garden surely has flowers in her heart.

Strawberry Picking

This is a page I did for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. I used an older K & Company paper by Kimberly Hodges. These photos were taken when we went strawberry picking this spring at Donaldson's Farm in Hackettstown. The strawberries were delicious. Roxie, our black lab, went with us too and she loved eating the strawberries.

You and Me

This is a LO I did for a challenge on Let's Scrap. It was Challenge #6 - Distress It. You had to make a LO distressing it as much as you wanted. I had won a RAK on the site when I won the Father's Day Challenge #3 and I used the papers from this RAK. They were perfect for a distressing page. I tore the paper, curled it, inked it, used distressing tools on it and had a lot of fun. The photo is of Rob and I in Disney at the Wilderness Lodge where we stayed in March. I don't distress much and I enjoyed all the distressing.

Fall Football

My daughter Heather and her friends went to a Giants football game last fall where these pictures were taken. This two page LO was done for Inspired Blueprints LO #25. I used the Rusty Pickle paper line "Pashmina". I thought the colors in these papers went beautifully with the photos.

Engagement

This is a page I did for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks about my son Robby's engagement to Christine. Robby asked Christine to marry him on Christmas Day 2008 and they will be married on July 17, 2010 at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes in an outdoor ceremony on a private lake - just beautiful. The papers I used were by My Minds Eye in the "Andrea Victoria" paper line. I used the SU! "Always" stamp set for the bird and heart and then I used crackle accents on them. The chipboard word Love was red so I painted it with the acrylic dapper "Lake Mist", inked it and then used the SU! background stamp "Weathered" on it to give it a crackled look. The eyelet ribbon was sewn onto the page. I was very happy with how it all turned out.

Happy

This is a layout I made for Let's Scrap 113. It is photos of Heather and I at our friend's pool while Andy and Rob were diving and Rob was practicing with his underwater video camera. I used Chatterbox "Together" papers and felt embellishments on this layout.
